The team

Mark Beacroft
Director

Mark launched MB Textiles from his living room in 1989, with two young children battering the door to get to Dad.

From that office, Mark used his keen eye for product development to help overseas companies meet the needs of the UK market - with a little help from the supportive customers who debuted his fabrics on their furniture at the 1990 Furniture Show.

From those humble beginnings, the relationships Mark has built with both mills and customers have taken MB Textiles from strength to strength. While the markets have changed over the years - with larger brands branching out and smaller retailers closing - Mark and his team have managed to follow these changes, and are ready for the next stage when more and more sales go online.

Tom Beacroft
Sales Director

As one of those two young children trying to get into his dad’s home office, Tom has always had a keen interest in his dad’s work and has taken great pride in watching MB Textiles grow.

Rather than diving from school straight into the family business, Tom cut his teeth doing sales in the construction trade and was able to bring that experience to MB Textiles when he joined the company in 2011.

Tom loves getting to meet customers at trade shows and traveling to different mills around the world to see first hand all the brilliant work that they are doing. Having met some of those teams when he was child, many are like family to him and he credits his success to everything that they and his dad have taught him.

Wolf and Sydney
Office Dogs

When they’re not networking at doggy day care, Sydney and Wolf love to pop into the office to check on the team and chase each other around the building.

As a scent hound, Sydney is invaluable in sniffing out the fabrics the team needs. He’s also a dedicated company wellness champion: dragging Mark around fields whenever they’re not in the office.

Wolf likes to give his say on new fabrics, but he couldn’t cut it as a guard dog as all he wants to do is play with anyone who visits the showroom.
